JCUA Votes mobilizes our Jewish community to endorse, elect, and co-govern with progressive leaders in Chicago and Illinois.
For more than 60 years, the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs (JCUA) has organized the Jewish communities of Chicagoland to pursue justice. We’ve seen time and time again that when people with shared values come together across backgrounds and experiences, we can achieve big wins.
JCUA focuses on issue-based campaigns, organizing in multi-faith, multiracial coalitions to change unjust laws and transform broken systems. Along the way, members realized that in order to be the most powerful organization possible, we needed more tools in our toolbox. This is why JCUA Votes was created.
JCUA Votes shares the values and vision of JCUA, but pursues change through electoral organizing. Through JCUA Votes, our local Jewish community supports and holds accountable elected leaders who share our mission to combat economic injustice, white supremacy, and antisemitism.
